The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Fighters Group

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a diverse cast of characters, and a gripping narrative including angels, demons, and malevolent powers growing in power within Dol-Makjar.

Warning: Key plot points for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 follow below.

The Soldiers Table Revealed

The latest chapter concluded with a major cliffhanger and revealed the premier party of characters who will branch out from the main group to embark on their independent quest, apart from the additional parties.

The combat-focused team consists of the determined fighter (portrayed by Travis Willingham), the agile character (Laura), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (the actor).

Why Split the Party?

Given an extensive roster, it was evident from the beginning that keeping everyone at one table would be impossible.

Hence, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, intertwining the personal journeys before dividing into three smaller tables: Fighters, Strategists, and Questers.

What Defines the Warrior Group

Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for participants who enjoy a traditionally charged battle-oriented story mode where non-violent answers are few and far between.

Initially, figures such as the hesitant healer the cleric might seem out of place, but the actions of episode 3 show why these five characters are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Motivations for Departure

For one thing, the party has a clear idea where to head next after a brutal opening clash with The Crow Keepers.

An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose death kicked off the story’s plot—used The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, entering Thjazi’s hideout, striking Thimble, and stealing all the enchanted items to sell off.

The traitor then settled his obligations and fled to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Cyd close behind.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each character has a specific drive to depart the metropolitan area:

  • The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, wants vengeance.
  • Kattigan has experience in the region and warns that it is a nasty environment.
  • The strong character and Wicander, having resisted his relatives’ demands to kill the fighter and instead rescued him, have no other options.
  • However, their reputation as important members in the powerful family could assist the team enter areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Furthermore, Teor swore a unbreakable promise to The savior for his deliverance and will now follow him wherever.

Pursued by Authorities

In addition, all of them are hunted by the rulers that control the city for a range of causes, making remaining behind dangerous:

  • The rogue and The hero are known criminals.
  • The warrior and The cleric defied the powerful family and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
  • The fighter is marked for death by House Halovar.

This leaves them few options but to travel to the northern region in quest for the antagonist.

What’s Next?

Based on episode three’s Cooldown, we learn that the warrior group will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight players to form the Explorers and Schemers parties.

Audiences can look forward to learning which characters will be assigned to which table in the season’s last Overture episode, streaming live on October 24.
